I've used a number of Kingston CF Cards now and have never had any trouble. It's a little slower than some of the other cards out there, but for the price it can't be beat!! I've used these cards in my Canon 5D and 50D and I've never lost an image. I keep a couple of these in the bag as back-ups in case I fill up my larger, faster cards.
Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
I have used Kingston CF Memory cards for years and have never had a problem with any of them. The 133x speed has been fast enough for all my purposes. I've never fired more than a few seconds at a high burst speed so I can't address how fast the card handles that situation. All in all, I've been very pleased with the performance of Kingston Compact Flash Cards and consider them to be a bargain.

This is a great product and for a very good price. I purchased in a package with a slr camera. I check if it was more convenient to buy it individually and not, in the package price you save some $$. Great deal!

I use this product regularly to capture images.
Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
I wanted a decent value on an 8GB CF storage card and this one fit the bill for me. It's not the fastest, but I don't run into that limitation with the type of photography I do. This is a great value product.
Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
I was looking for a new compact flash card after I made my upgrade to the E3. I saw this and thought it was a steal for the amount of space, the writing speed and the price you get it at. I couldn't be more happier with my purchase and allows me to take a lot of photos at sporting events, hikes and travels without having to worry about having enough space. Would definitely purchase again if I need to!
Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
Great card for the money, but it does have a slow write time.
Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
These seemed like decent cards at first, and at a great price. I bought one when I got my camera, and it was great. I was going to SE Asia and wanted to take loads of photos, so I bought 5 more cards (tons of room, yay!).
However, after taking lots of photos and filling the cards rapidly, I started getting "Problem with CF Card" errors. This resulted in lost images from my vacation. I was stuck high and dry and basically had to hope that the next days worth of photos wouldn't get erased. Never again will I purchase a "non-pro" grade card. It's not worth the savings if you are serious about photography.
Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
Cost per GB comparatively very low. Works fine on my Nikon cameras.

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
When purchased, it seemed like a good value. I had high hopes for this card. The card appears fast enough when off-loading images from card reader to computer.
However, in-camera use, there is usually a 2-3 second delay before pictures are displayed on the LCD, which does not happen with other makers' cards (maybe caused by the card's auto-sleep "feature"). When working fast, this 2-3 sec delay to pull up an image is initially frustrating, and unacceptable after constant usage. I finally got tired of constantly waiting and relegated the card as my "emergency/last ditch" card.

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
This is the 2nd Kingston Card I have purchased and used in a Canon 40D and they have performed as well as the more popular and costly competition's products. I use all of my cards once and then store them as the first level of file back-up storage. The competitive price of this card is a real plus.
Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
I shoot quite q few HDRI and this card is both large and fast enough for my needs.
Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
Athough rated at 133x this 8 GB elite pro card works even faster in my Olympus E-620 camera than the 4 GB 133x elite pro.
It will handle 16 RAW files in the first 10 sec. vs. only 12 RAW files with the 4 GB card.
After the initial burst of RAW files it would continually shoot at a rate of 72 RAW files per minute until the card is full.

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
I shoot Canon's memory hog 1Ds and transferring to portable drives became a hassel. This 8G, added to my other CFs gave me enough for a full day's shoot without uploading interuptions. I hesitated before purchasing because of some venimous negative comments. But; I trusted Adorama when I bought my camera and lenses and I trusted them again. 8 gigs for [$] and free shipping; yeah, that has proven to be the best[$] I have spent in a while. The write speed may be a bit slower than my Extreme cards, but quality is more important to me than speed.

I cannot find a negative to say about this card. Fast and reliable. I'm using it in a Canon EOS-20D
and have encountered no problems whatsoever

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
Having same problems here as well. The load/response time is very slow. Previewing photos, accessing menus (I guess the camera has to finish reading the card before it can load the menus), basically, when you turn on the camera, previewing, the CF light is on for about 15 seconds vs < 1s for other cards and can't do much until it finishes. I bought two kingston 8GB 133x and they're both slow on the D700. Read/Write files from a reader is as advertised. I tried a Transcend 8GB 120x (older version) and older Kingston 2GB Elite Pro 50x and they both load really fast. I don't have any other camera (non-nikon) that uses a CF card and I've read somewhere that it could be a controller incompatibility? Don't know if there's any truth in that. So if you have a D700 and on the cheap on the cards, I would not recommend this card. Just my 2 cents.

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
The sales person suggested this card. I had never heard of them. I bought one and tried it. The card worked just fine. I am not at the level where speed is an issue so I cannot really comment on its ability with speed. However, it provides all the speed that I have asked for.
I only purchased the card because it was so inexpensive. However, the card worked as well as the SanDisc so I bought two more for myself and my buddy bought one.
I will use this Brand again in the future.

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
I have no faith in these cards. I bought 2 8g cards within 2 weeks of each other and 2 have gone corrupt on me already. I have been faithful to Kingston and the price is right but i just lost faith in them having this happen 2x in 2 weeks makes me think the savings isn't worth it!
I am going to order Sandisks right now and leave these cards behind!!

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
I've been using a set of these 8gb cards for about six months and have never had a problem. With my Fuji S5 in RAW, the file sizes are 25MB each, so I need big cards. These hold 312 images per card.
They upload to my dual G5 powermac quite quickly.
Great cards, great price.

I bought this cf card a little of two months ago, I first used it on my Canon 5D, then on my new canon 5d Mark II, I have not had any problems what so ever. this has been the cheapest (price-wise) and best performing memory card I currently own. I will be purchasing more in the next few weeks.
Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
I always format the cards in the camera. Have used this in both the D200 and D700. I have had another 133x 8gb card for over 2 years. Never had a problem. Format in the camera, no the computer

I've read the mixed comments but this one works for my 5D as well as my card reader. My previous 133x 8GB card cost 5 times as much. This one is a steal.

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
I have owned a Kingston ultimate card which has functioned flawlessly for several years
so I was not worried to get more . But from this elite pro series both cards I bought ( 8 & 16th GB) do not work
I have formatted them and they work in the camera but impossible to download them from the -KINGSTON- card reader that does not even recognize them
A big disappointment

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
After just a few captures this card began to fail, recording only half images or stating "card not formatted". I have reformatted the card and it continues to fail after about 10 images. Replacing the card with Kingston has been a real challenge. Tech support says that my camera, Nikon D300, only supports up to 4GB.
I purchased a Kingston 8GB 266x card at the same time and just returned from France with 1000 highest resolution JPEG images and not a single failure. Kingston refuses to replace the 133 with a 266 that works.

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
Initially I was very enthused about the convenience, speed, reliability, and price of this 8 GB card. After about 4 months, it failed once (camera [Canon 30D] gave message of card error, and pictures taken were lost. I initially thought this was not sure whether this was potentially due to camera, so I reformatted, and used it successfully for another month: when the same thing happened again. Looking at other reviews on this site, I have seen others are having the same issue... Do NOT buy: it's not worth losing a good shoot...

After all of the negative reviews, I was a little hesitant to pull the trigger on this card. I have now used the cards for three different shoots, and have had zero problems. Best price out there for this fast of a card. What a deal! I'm very pleased with my purchase and will not hesitate on buying another Kingston Pro Elite card.

I bought this card at the end of March. It is now mid-June. I was taking some photos and the card just failed. I put it in my PC, and it wouldn't format. I've used it consistently over the past 2.5 months, and would say it was fine if it hadn't just died.

Cons : Unreliable capacity, Unreliable StorageDescribe Yourself : ProfessionalAccording to their rebate limit of TWO, I ordered and duly submitted my rebate according to THEIR terms. Following are the issues:1] Interestingly, the capacity of the cards are not identical in the same camera (Using a Nikon D3 & D2X). One card formats to 291 NEF, the other 305 NEF. This Nikon's estimate was validated on the computer, as each card shows a different capacity. Obviously there are bad sectors on the cards that get locked out. Hence these are NOT true 8 gig cards.2] [...].

After seeing the less than favorable remarks about these cards, I wasn’t sure if I should purchase them or not.[...] I purchased two of them. I am happy to report that they seem to work perfectly fine with my Olympus E-510.Some reviews on the web say that the Kingston CF cards aren’t as fast as some other brands of CF cards. They are definitely faster that the xD Type H cards that I have been using in my Olympus cameras. [...], I think these cards were well worth the purchase.

I used this item in my Canon 5D and had no problem. Since it has a lifetime warranty, I am surprised by the comment below. It seemed fast although I did not push very hard this weekend.

So I'm basically stuck with this useless card since I had to open it to come to find out it won't work like every other 8gb card in the 5d[...] Kingston is of no help either. They told me that the 5d won't work with anything bigger than 4gb (which is incorrect), and that unless it's a bad card there isn't much they can do.LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A GOOD CF CARD! THIS ONE ISN'T IT!

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 8 GB, 133x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:
Bought two of these cards for my new Nikon D300. Almost immediately started having problems. Often the camera with these cards, after the card has been formatted before first image and after many images shot, will deliver an error message which translates to "card not formatted" and function will stop until card is formatted again, causing loss of recorded images. Also get distorted images when playing back on camera LCD with multiple random bars across image. Others have found [...] that only a portion of images recorded will transfer to their computer. I also have a SanDisk Extreme III 8GB which has had absolutely no problems performing as expected. [...]there are quite a few people finding the Kingston cards are not functioning correctly with D300 cameras. I just bought two more SanDisk 8GB Extreme III's from adorama. Suggest you stick to SanDisk.
