The description says it's backwards compatible with USB 2, but what it doesn't say is that to use it with USB 2 you need 2 free usb ports and a cable! Sort of defeats the reason to have a handy thumb drive. Moreover, this is not only not made clear on the web page, it's not made clear on the product package! You have to open the package to find this out, and in my book that's just pure deception. I will never go near another Kingston product because of it.
