I keep my entire Aperture library (current projects) on this drive and seamlessly move back and forth from desktop to laptop. I had it's little brother (500gb). And loved it. This one is identical aesthetically, it just holds more. I also love the silicon bumber around the unit. I don't think it really makes the unit more "rugged" but it sits still and feels solid.
