Lexar is my card of choice, they offer free software and there cards are solid performers.

They last and they are fast. I love this inexpensive fast and furious 300x pro memory card. I can rip out SERIOUS # of shots on my Canon 40D when im doing sports photography

After having researched Lexar, and SanDisk it seems that anything above 4GB works slower, and the Rebate offer was too great to pass up, so I went with this 2GB, instead of the 8GB. And this 300x UDMA Lexar card works very smoothly with my nikon D700. I carry a few of these around, and usually 1 card is enough to cover 1~2 event a night. I haven't tried the equivalent: SanDisk IV/Ducatti yet. But I'm quite satisfied.

Will continue to buy this card when I need more. I have used other brands that don't stack up to it. The $25 rebate and the free Image Rescue and Corel Paint Shop Pro X software included made this an outstanding purchase.
