I have two types of digital cameras with two different types of cards. This device is faster than the camera in downloading to the computer.

I bought this card reader in a pinch and took it to a photo shoot with me. When I finished, I popped my CF card in and two of the pins bent so I couldn't show my proofs. I did not even force the card into the slot. I would suggest buying two or three if you rely on this product or buy a different product.

Comments about Lexar Lexar Multi-Card 12-in-1 Reader with USB 2.0 Connection.:
It would not work on a Sundisk CF 4gb card, a Sundisk SD 2gb or 1gb card or a Sundisk Smart Media 128mb card. When I called Lexar to see if I could exchange it for one that would work I was told that it is not compatible with any of these cards and they would not exchange it or return my money.
If you look at the literature for the product it does not list cards that it will not read but states that “It can read and write them all.

Comments about Lexar Lexar Multi-Card 12-in-1 Reader with USB 2.0 Connection.:
Works just as specified - no fuss, no muss. However, (didn't you just know there'd be one?) the card insertion feels a little flimsy - its easy to not quite get the cards lined up properly and then it's tempting to give it a good shove. I haven't actually broken anything (yet) but a tighter, more positive fit would make this a five star in my rating.

Let me tell you about Lexar card readers. Several years ago I bought one that looks just like this... my model was RW018 Rev D. Today, it cannot read large (1Gig and up) xD cards, and I have an email from Lexar that confirms this. I bought a new one and it would not read my CF cards out of the box. I'm done with Lexar card readers. I returned it.
