When I travel it's usually by motorcycle so size and weight are very important to me. This computer was the smallest most powerful one I found with all the features I was looking for. I installed the Canon Raw drivers and the raw photos from all my Canon digital cameras display beautifully. Now reviewing photos during my trips is easy. The screen is sharp and much easier to see details with than the screens on the backs of digital SLR's. This machine also has the horsepower to play digital movies up to 1080p without problems and the HDMI port makes it easy to plug into an HDTV. The built-in multi-touch touch pad works great. I'm not planning on installing any of the heavy-duty photo editing programs. That's not what this machine is for. The 2Gb of memory is not enough for those programs and the 5400 RPM hard drive is relatively slow. I have found the battery to last about 3 1/2 hours when I have the computer set on high performance.

Love my computer. Sometimes runs slow but then I do tend to have a lot of windows open at once.

If you've done your research and are buying what you need, this is a fine device. If you are looking for a speed-demon for instance, this is not the device for you. I was looking for a balanced device, straddling the netbook and laptop worlds: better keyboard, larger monitor and improved performance than most netbooks while also wanting a device a bit lighter than most value-oriented laptops (both in weight and cost). I'm sure there will be more choice in this space going forward, but at the time of purchase this was my best bet and so far...so good.
