Comments about SanDisk SanDisk 16 GB Extreme IV Compact Flash Memory Card:

Been using Sandisk Extreme for years, it has been serving me great. I been using 16Gb alwasy as I shoot & record a lot. I always carry 3 of them on me.

For some 16gb might not be the best idea since IF ANY thing happend to it, it'll be a nightmare. Since purchasing this IV, it's not much faster than III but I'm a sucker for marketing.

Comments about SanDisk SanDisk 16 GB Extreme IV Compact Flash Memory Card:

I had been using 8gig CF cards, waiting for prices to come down on some of the higher capacities. Adorama threw in the 16gig with my purchase of EOD 5D Mark II, so I was happy to put it to work. As with the 8s, I find I have to be cautious when inserting the card in the camera or a card reader. I wasn't as cautious when first using an 8 (with a straight EOS 5D), and wound up bending the CF pins in the camera. Had to send the camera body back to Canon for fix (still under warranty, thank goodness). Otherwise, this baby holds my normal quantity of RAW and TIFF files admirably.

Comments about SanDisk SanDisk 16 GB Extreme IV Compact Flash Memory Card:

I was looking for a new card for my new Canon EOS 7D and I have use Sandisk before. They have been very reliable. At that time, there was a big rebate deal from SanDisk. Originally I wanted to get two 8 GB cards but those were quickly sold out every where. But luckily, Adorama had the 16 GB and with the lowest price. I have had it for 2 months now and it performed great. I have not had any issues. Great product and great transaction!

Comments about SanDisk SanDisk 16 GB Extreme IV Compact Flash Memory Card:

Even though more expensive than two 8GB cards, I choose the 16GB card because they are UDMA enabled. I just bought a Canon 5D and wanted to be able to use it's HD video feature without changing cards every few minutes and because of the faster speeds from the UDMA. I don't do a lot of action shooting, but it is nice to not have to worry about write times as I shoot. This was not an issue with my old Canon 20D, but it is with the 5D which writes 21MB files in raw mode. I bought 2 cards because of the rebates, and so far, performance wise, I have not been disappointed. These cards are extremely fast!

Comments about SanDisk SanDisk 16 GB Extreme IV Compact Flash Memory Card:

I normally use 32GB Transcend Cards and bought one 16GB IV card just to see if there was a difference. No doubt about it, this card is considerably faster than my UDMA enabled Transcends. Well worth the extra cost when shooting aviation, sports or anything that moves quickly.

Comments about SanDisk SanDisk 16 GB Extreme IV Compact Flash Memory Card:

Great compact flash card that holds a lot of raw images and reads & empties the camera buffer very quickly! What else could you want.

The RescuePRO Deluxe v4.2 software that comes with the card is on a mini CD and is allegedly compatible with Mac as well. Do not try to load this on your slot loading MacBook or it will get stuck. The only place I could find to download this was a newer version and the price was very high. Don't take the software into account when purchasing the card.

Comments about SanDisk SanDisk 16 GB Extreme IV Compact Flash Memory Card:

I'm just a "little old woman" who in her old age is following a dream in photography....

Got this card to go with my D700. I've only worked with 8GB cards before - but this card is great. I will buy a second one soon as it does cut down on how many CF card changes I have to do. It works perfectly & for high speed 5 - 8 fps it's really great to know I get so many shots in. Also - due to writing speed I don't have to wait on the camera all that much. It writes to it so fast.
Great card - all my cards are now SanDisk Extreme IV - until the next generation comes out - - that's what I'll be using....

I'm using Sandisk now ever since i started shooting digital. This is just new newest, largest and quickest card out there. I never had any problems in the past, this card is 10% quicker than the 8GB version and obviously stores double the amount. Great for outdoor shoots where dust is an issue and i don't need to change cards any more.
