I am buying 16GB Sandisk Extreme cards now to accommodate the larger file sizes of my CanonD Mark II's. My 4GB & 8GB Sandisk Extreme cards have been (and still are) incredibly reliable, so my hope is the 16GB will continue the tradition.

Cards were already formatted and ready to go! Started shooting pictures immediately. No problems with multiple frame sequence shots but have not tested the functionality with faster cards. Bought 3 of these cards and all functioned perfectly out of the box.

I use this card for my 7d, and it works GREAT! The only problem that I run into is that the capacity is small. I use this for both video and photography. If you use your camera for mainly photos, then you are fine. However if you plan on shooting 1080p footage, you may consider paying a little extra for the 32gb card. I am buying a 32gb card here very shortly.

Terrific capacity for my Canon 7D. Gives you lots of flexibility in storing a whole vacations worth of pictures. Works well in shooting fast action sports at the 8 frames/sec that the 7D is capable of.

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because SanDisk just announced new 60Mbps and 90Mbps cards! But this one is still the workhorse of the lineup.

For professional work, equipment malfunctions are not acceptable. So far all Sandisk cards are all 100% reliable. 16GB is good for about 45 minutes of video on the 5DII. It takes about 10 minutes to transfer 16GB into the computer using a Extreme firewire reader. For value, reliability, speed go with Sandisk.

I had typically used Transcend flash memory because the price is so much lower than others. But when Sandisk had the rebate, I just couldn't pass it up for a few weddings I have scheduled.

The first wedding was this past weekend and this CF card worked flawlessly. It was very fast. I always shoot RAW+large JPEG and although I wasn't trigger happy, the buffer never filled on me causing me to lose a shot. The few bursts I did have were written out to the card very quickly.

While I do like Transcend, this will probably be my main go-to flash card for critical work solely because it is a bit faster and because it is designed to withstand more extreme temperatures.

Without the rebate, the price is a bit high. But after the rebate, it was much more reasonable (assuming they do honor the rebate and not play games.)

The included recovery software is a nice bonus, although there are some good freebies out there, too.

The card works great with sony's HRV-V1U. You can record 77 minutes and so far not a single problem.

The large capacity is great to photograph RAW, TIFF and JPEG files. I also used it as a 'backup' knowing that a copy of the images were safe in case something should happen to my desktop while completing the project. The 16gig capacity was large enough that I could keep every file on it until after burining them to disks/backup drives and then deleting them. This peace of mind is worth the price. Photographing large simultaneous events was a breeze.

I have used SanDisk products since I started shooting digital and they have never let me down. I started with the Ultra series and am now using the Extreme III. I shoot alot of sports action and the cards have all performed without problems. These are the cards to buy.

This would be a 5 star product, but the first card I received was defective out of the box. That said, Sandisk customer service was pleasant and warranty exchange easy and fast. I use all SanDisk cards (6 total) and have never experienced a problem with any of them. They are well built, reliable, and fast.

Used on a 3 week trip. 16G CF card, 2 4G, and 1 8G all the same brand.

All worked flawlessly and were completely filled by the end of the trip.

Went with the larger SanDisk card with purchase of the Canon 5d Mark II and have had problem free shoots with a much improved capacity with the larger capture size. I recommend this card as an excellent value.

Don't spend your money on faster UDMA card. It doesn't improve your in-camera performance worth much to justify price difference.

This is a renewed model of original SanDisk Extreme II with faster performance. I tested with 5D Mark II for movie mode and worked great all time.

This is the jolly best card I have ever had in my life. I have been shooting with Kingston and some jolly good fella gave me the sandisk 2GB card to try it and God bless him... I have never looked back. I have been carrying around 4 of these 16GB cards and they have never failed me. The rebate has always arrived without any problems so I honestly don't understand about these whiny babies saying they did not receive the rebate. I have gotten all 3 of mine !! As long as you follow the instructions on the rebate form, there is no reason to be denied. Thanks San & Ado. Pls reduce the prices of extreme IV 16GB CF cards :D

I bought several of the 16 GB Extreme cards for my biz and have used them for thousands of images since their purchase.

I started digital capture when a "large & fast" card was 128mb and 4x. For less than the cost of this card, I'm running huge, fast and reliable cards suitable for whatever I can throw at it.

It's really nice not to have to reload a card in the middle of shooting a wedding or hanging out the open door of a light aircraft!

I agree with the comments about the rebate, but Sandisk sent me a postcard in the male about 8 weeks later tell me that the rebate was invalid. After spending 1 hour on the phone with them, the finally gave me another promo, but with smaller rebate check. Sandisk has horrible rebate customer service. I purchased 3 sandisk products. 3/3 were had problems with the rebate. My wife says if I want to purchase it, assume that no rebate will come - it's icing on the cake if it does.

You will have to fight for rebate. They automatically rejected both my last rebate requests claiming I didn't enclose UPC (of course I did). This practice is borderline fraudulent. Never had a problem with any other vendor. Beware and keep copies of submission. You'll need it.

First, don't get fooled by cards that say they are faster - they aren't. Most of them may have faster read times, but are much slower (50% or more) on writes. Frankly, as a photographer, I care how fast the card writes in my camera. I have much more time to relax when reading from the card to my computer later on.[...]

The card is great, never had a problem with it.

The rebate check takes MONTHS to get to you, and then you have to MAIL IT IN to redeem it!!! Forget placing an order online, you have to write a letter describing what you want to order, put the check in the mail, and pray that it does not get lost.
Seriously. If you are going to give a rebate, give a rebate already!
