SanDisk makes excellent products and the 2GB Ultra II is my favorite memory card for SLR photography. I prefer the 2GB card, especially for travel photography, over higher capacity cards. The main reason for this is to limit loss if a single card is lost or damaged. Also, I find it convenient to use a single card for each location on a trip. The high speed capability allows me to shoot a moving subject in a continuous drive mode without interruption.

Purchased for a last-generation "dslr-like" camera for an overseas trip where I'd be too afraid of bringing new equipment! Unfortunate that the older camera can't support the newer sdhc capacities, so I was limited to buying a bunch of 2gb cards.

As with my other sandisk experiences, these ultras are zippy! Aside from that, there's not much more to say - they were recognized immediately, read/write quickly, and hold pictures. Will update in the future in the rare circumstance that one of them gets corrupted.

I use this for my prosumer DSLR. It's fine; does exactly what it's meant to do, which is store photos I've taken until I can download them onto a computer.

I don't know if it really reads or writes as fast as it claims to, not do I really care. I'm not the type to measure my life in terms of megabits per second. I suppose it's fast enough, as long as downloading photos isn't part of your job description.

Faster cards may not be worth it if your camera can't write any faster or your computer can't read any faster. I have never had any CF or SD card, regardless of brand, fail so they all seem equally reliable.
