I had several old VHS tapes I wanted to get on DVD, for the cost of this I figured I give it a try, it worked just fine for me on my new laptop, Windows & 64 bit, it was fun to do, and suited my needs just fine.
Didn't work with Windows 7, 64 bit

The unit continually dropped frames. The manufacturer's web page states that they no longer offer technical support for this item. Returend for refund.
