RANGE OF 6 FEET! Some Remote!

I was excited to use this product because it says it has a range of 30 feet. Its plug 'n play so I plugged it in and it started working, but at 6 feet from the receiver the keyboard stops working completely. I am not sure what good a remote is that goes 6 feet, I have longer wired keyboards. I thought it may be due to interference because it operates at 2.4GHz, however, it is the only 2.4GHz device in the area (no telephones in home). Also when it does work signals are repeated multiple times. For example, I will press the pause key and the video will pause and play 10 times, or I will type 6 and it will type 66666666.

My other issue, had it worked past 6 feet, is that after installing the ZDTV software on Windows XP firefox would open 20 windows for no reason and then an error would appear saying "could not start required services". My computer is a week old, installing the software should just work... and if it doesn't there should be some available troubleshooting which there is not.

DO NOT BUY THIS RIP OFF!
