I've been faced with scanning hundreds of B/W negs into a scanner that only accepts slides. I ordered 100 of these little gems, and I mount 50 negs at a time, and reuse the mounts. I have mounted and popped open each one at least ten times so far, and not one has jammed the scanner. Since I don't have a mounting press to go with them, I bite down on the edges to make sure they click together perfectly.

Great overall product. Once in a while, when scanning old slides, I find that I need to remove one from a warped or damaged cardboard mount. These simple yet durable plastic mounts have been a great replacement. I can even remove the slide again, by simply unsnapping the mount, if I need to.
I have found only a couple of drawbacks. One is that these mounts can sometimes be a little hard to snap together. Another is the fact that, if I need to write any info on the mount, I have to add a piece of tape. Ink will not adhere to the plastic. Also, though thin, they are still slightly thicker than the standard cardboard mounts they are replacing.
