The glass is good -- sharp, contrasty, with low geometric distortion and low fringing. If you have 20/40 or better eyesight (or have contacts), you'll be *very* happy. Otherwise, you'll do best with the old Contax/Zeiss or Cabin. For the near-sighted, the shrouds don't let you get close enough to the subject, and the adjustment range, while perfect for adjusting to subject texture, is too small to correct eyesight. The image is tack-sharp with glasses, but then you'll have trouble seeing the whole frame of a 6x7 w/o risking clinking your glasses against the objective -- 6x6 is doable. The plastic is good/light, but still plastic (though in 10 years I'll probably wonder why I ever worried about it).
