I bought these for my son, a photographer, who loves to shoot in B&W....the pictures turned out great! The quality of the shots (color/tone/etc.) were spot on.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujifilm Neopan 100 Black & White Film ISO 100, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure.:

This is a great inexpensive all around film. It is a good one to keep on hand at all times. It seems to provide acceptable shots in most circumstances. It could have better contrast.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujifilm Neopan 100 Black & White Film ISO 100, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure.:

very reliable film, true 100 speed, old school film with the grain structure of older films. Yes the base has a purple tint, but does not effect
printing or scanning.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujifilm Neopan 100 Black & White Film ISO 100, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure.:

I've used this in the 35mm, 120 and 4x5 format for over 4 years, with consistantly good results. I shoot many diifferent types of photography and have never had any of the results mentioned. I develop with T-Max for 5.5 minutes and get great range, tonality and sharpess, very acceptable grain. If you read the spec sheets I believe that T-Max is a recommended developer but I have used Rodinal with similar results. This is my first choice of B & W after the long gone but much lamented Agfa APX. Try it yourself.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujifilm Neopan 100 Black & White Film ISO 100, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure.:

Don't waste your time with this film. I have used Fugi film with great results, but this Neopan 100 SS does not develop well with D76. I tried it straight for 7.5 minutes, then with 1:1 for 10.5 minutes with the same results. Purple negative with underdeveloped images. Used kodak rapid fix, leader cleared in fix in 45 seconds, fixed for 5 minutes the first time, fixed for 7 minutes the second time. When I enlarged a negative, the film was grainy and lousy tonality.Contacted [...] for a data sheet [...]. What I found was in Japanese and my Japanese is to rusty read it.So, forget this film, buy the Neopan 100 Acros. I have had very good results with it. I will give anyone a roll or two of this Neopan 100 SS, since the best place for this film, in my opinion, is in the round file.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujifilm Neopan 100 Black & White Film ISO 100, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure.:

I bought a lot of this stuff because I was sick of spending $[...] at my local shop for tri-x. After I printed a couple of rolls, I was dissapointed at the lack of depth and tonality of this film. The great clear beauty that makes black and white film better than c-41 and digital was lacking with Neopan SS. I used hc-110, and the only times given by the Fuji website for development in hc-110 was for pushing one stop. After playing around to try to get a suitable time with no pushing, I the negatives still didn't click. The purple base bothers me. Also, this film seems to scratch more easily than others.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujifilm Neopan 100 Black & White Film ISO 100, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure.:

Until I started experimenting with Neopan 100 a few years, I used only Kodak films. At the time I was doing photography the old-fashioned way, shunning the computer in favor of shooting film and printing in the darkroom. I developed the film in TMax and Zonal Pro developers and it consistently yielded negatives with good tonal range and very fine grain. In addition, I was able to save some money as well, which I applied eventually to the purchase of my first digital camera.
