Ilford has made an excellent product here. The HP5 film is very good, and accurate film. It show the details of all tones and ranges. It is very easy to self develop; and the results are very pleasing! Try it out! It is a faster film, so it does get a little grainy, but it does not take away the detail from the picture

I am a student photographer and got tired of using the kodak tri-x and wanted to try something different. I chose this film and Ilford delta 400. i highly recommend both to any student photographer who is looking to get away from the tri-x film. Both are very reliable and give great results.

I buy it 200 rolls at a time for my students. It works well for the young photographers that do not fully comprehend everything involved with making a great exposure right away, but still can get good images because of its range.
