Great for available light photography.
Comments about Kodak Kodak Tri-X Pan 400, TX-Pan Black & White Negative Film ISO 400, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure, USA:
The only 400 ISO film I use. It has the best tonal range, and develops well consistently. It has a great "look" being sharp, and yet retaining some grain at the same time. I love the stuff.
Comments about Kodak Kodak Tri-X Pan 400, TX-Pan Black & White Negative Film ISO 400, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure, USA:
I use this film constantly. I use it mostly for portraits and photojournalist purposes. The grain is very fine and very smooth. This is my base film that I carry around with me all the time. I will be scanning these soon through a professional printing business. I hope the results will be better/ or as good as darkroom prints.

It's cheap, fast and reliable and scans well. I would recommend it over similar fugi's or Tmax.

Comments about Kodak Kodak Tri-X Pan 400, TX-Pan Black & White Negative Film ISO 400, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure, USA:
All the great ones used it - Cartier-Bresson, Winogrand.... Still better than anything one can whip up in Photoshop. Funny how software designers are creating plug-ins that recreate the look and feel of Tri-X. Just use Tri-X! Excellent tonal range, wonderful, raw grain. D76 1:1 and skip the photo labs.

Comments about Kodak Kodak Tri-X Pan 400, TX-Pan Black & White Negative Film ISO 400, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure, USA:
Normally, I'm not a big fan of Kodak products, and prefer Ilford films, yet I found the Tri-X to be unbelievable. I used T-Max a few times and was terribly offended by the results, brining about my prejudice towards Kodak. Tri-X has proven me dreadfully wrong.

Comments about Kodak Kodak Tri-X Pan 400, TX-Pan Black & White Negative Film ISO 400, 35mm Size, 36 Exposure, USA:
I started out 30-odd years ago with my first 35mm camera and fell in love with Tri-X. Today I am a fulltime photojournalist with a small newspaper shooting digital. BUT when I want to shoot for my own personal work, I pull out my dad's Yashica GS35 and rolls of Tri. It does more to improve my eye than anything else.
