When I ordered the FL36-R flash attachment kit for my Olympus DSLR, I also wanted another diffuser for the flash unit. It's easy to use, slips over the flash without any problem. It diffuses the light emitted, but still lets enough get through for a good photo. It stays in my camera bag all the time. And the price was right!

This is a great little softbox, especially for the price. I used it for a night party and it helped soften the light and got me some portrait shots that the customer loved! Without the diffuser, the light was just too harsh. It folds up nicely for storage.

Handy little diffuser. Certainly beats my do-it-yourself version. Folds up nice and flat for easy storage in a camera bag. Pops together quickly when needed. Provides a soft diffused light, eliminating the hardest light.

I liked the portability of this unit. It folds up neatly for stuffing in a camera bag without taking up a lot of space. I softens flash photos when taking head on eliminating that harsh light from a naked pop up flash. My main complaint is the attachment process. The elastic around the end that goes over the flash head is really tight probably by design but . . . try getting it on a flash head (SB 600) and you'd think the unit was alive and was not about to let put the "thing" on it. I really had to wrestle to get the darn thing on. Once on however, it worked fine.

I had a good deal of washout with my canon flash and wanted something that I could use to soften my output. The Adorama Mini Soft Box Diffuser fits on my flash with ease and there is no issue with it falling off like some "hard" plastic diffusers. The pictures now are softer without the harsh washout in the backgrounds. All of the pictures I have taken with the diffuser have been great.

The mini soft box diffuser slips over the flash head and is secured by the built-in elastic sleeve. The effectiveness of the diffuser depends upon the strength of the flash it is attached to. But in an indoor setting, I generally increased exposure values 2-3 stops to get the right exposure level. While you'll avoid the pinpoint light effects in you images, the softbox diffuser will show up in your subject's eye reflections if you use it--straight on--as the main flash in portrait photography.

I got this hoping it would fit easily in my smallest camera bag, and I was NOT dissappointed!! I needed something that worked good and was easily stuffed in my small camera bag that I use for on location shoots (do not want to lug around equipment!)it fits all my flashes with no problems (even an old fixed flash I have!) the flash that is fixed doesnt have alot to hold the box on, so I just put a piece of velcro (fuzzy side) around the back to attatch to the velcro closures the box uses - problem solved! I even find myself using it for my other flashes for more security when I am moving around alot.
bottom line is, this is a great product for little money, and it produces awesome results!

Does not make a huge difference in comparison to a straight, raw flash. Not a very powerful soft box, more for looks or for a barely noticeable difference.

This is the best [$]I have ever spent on a photographic product. It does everything a diffuser should at a remarkable price. This simple to use unit eliminates any harsh shadows on portraits and produces consistent results. The fact it lays flat in my bag is another plus. I am ordering another today just in case they raise the price.

I use it to soften the harsh light from my flash. It does the trick. It is by no means spectacular. It doesn't really increase the light size that much. I've seen better and was a little disappointed when I opened the box.

This small diffuser box is really cool. It helps to minimize shadow and harsh flash result on direct lighting mostly for portrait. The result is much better than plastic diffuser. Especially helpful for outdoor location where you can't bounce the flash, but also provide good result for indoor portrait and fill flash. It reduce flash power 1-2 stops but then simply adjust your flash power.
Neatly fold so its very easy to carry and takes a minute to unfold and install this softtbox to the flash.

I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because I have nothing to compare it to. I just started up a wedding photography business and boy this little thing works great! I shot one wedding without it, (because I didn't order it yet) and two weddings with it and there was quite a difference! It really helps eliminate harsh shadows and fills in the light quite nicely. I pretty much use it every time I shoot now, I wouldn't leave home without it!
