Comments about Adorama Adorama adapter to mount on sony DV any shoe mount flash:

The adapter is exactly what it is supposed to be: to install old video lights over the new Sony hotshoe (no electrical connection though). However, it fails on something so stupid: the standard shoe receptacle is too narrow! so the video light does not slide in (also tried some flashes with same result). I had to widen up the sides of the metal shoe receptacle using some heavy tools until I managed to get the video light to slide in without getting stuck. Now it works fine, but it proves no quality control on the parts. I hope this is not the case for everybody... but be prepared if you buy it. I recommend it because it is the only adapter I could find for the purpose.
