This is a great inexpensive way to use pc sync devices with cameras that don't come with a pc jack. I use this on my Sony A200 just for the pc sync capability and fire off my Flashpoint budget studio monolight flash (sku FPBF160). It locks firmly onto my camera's hotshoe mount and releases with a button on the side opposite of the pc jack. I have not yet used the hotshoe mount to fire another flash, therefore am unsure of it's performance, but for pc sync operation it's a great investment!

This is the second unit I tried.Both will not work as advertised. I'm using a
sony A200 and the flash is a Vivitar modle 2800.
The Flash works O.K with my film Minola camers, but will not work with your adapter. I also tried another flash with a standard shoe, still will not work. My A200 will work with a Sony external flash. The camera is not at fault. Again I tried other flash units. I believe this adapter is not wired correct.

I've seen what's out there.., and this little devise does the trick in style.
I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the unit. Locks securely into the Sony hot-shoe. Provides a PC plug as a bonus.
