These work well for small indoor applications. They support a monolight but are not the sturdyist stands for outdoors. great if used only as intended. The adjustable legs do offer some additional height and when lowered offer a little more stability.

Nice lightweight stands for general, entry level use. I don't like the cheap construction, but
with limited careful use they should last.

Stand seems to be a good piece for the price. I bought it for occasional use as an extra stand. The air cushioning is an added bonus in this price range. I would buy another one when need arrises.

I researched light stands, thoroughly. The prices ranged from $12 to $1200 plus. I find that although this light stand fell in at the very bottom of the price scale, they are equal to, or better than, light stands I saw at 10 times the price. I liked the price so much I bought two. I am using them to support my remote slave flash units. I had to buy two 3/8" to 1/4" adapters at the hardware store. They cost less than $5 and work great. I like that these light stands will expand above 7'. This is higher than I will probably ever need. For the price and quality, I don't think you can find a better value.

I bought it as a kit from adorama.com. It's easy to setup and the weight is light. I like it.

Good product for the money. I needed an affordable light stand for my small strobes and umbrellas. This fits the bill perfectly. While I would not put studio strobes on it, it works perfectly for small off camera flashes. I find the 7.5 ft height to be plenty high for even group portrait sessions. Plus the since its air cushioned, I don't have to worry about the equipment crashing down if I forget to fasten it tightly. I currently own two of them, however will buy more as I add more lights to my set up. Worth buying if your looking for a light/medium duty light stand for small strobes.

The plastic leg collar was broken out of the box, but was easily fixed with some crazy glue. Very light weight, fully featured, and air cushioned. A lot of light stand for the dollar, but I am concerned about how long those plastic collars will last. At the price though, it is cheap enough to replace every 6 months

a very lightweight system the only problem I had was one of the brass tops must have been crossed threaded because it went on very hard so now I have left them on which is not a problem.

I have bought two of these and I have not had any problems so far. I use these lightstands to photograph my artwork. Sometimes the air gets stuck and it won't lower, because the raising and lowering of the different levels of the stand, but all you need to do is loosen the lower levels and the air is released. It took me a minute to figure this out. They are sturdy and reliable.

Tried going the cheap way with grip clamp type lamp assy. Very dissapointing. Went with stands and I am very satified these will last a long time. If you are going to use an umbrella be sure to get a holder for it.
