This portable studio works great. The backgrounds are nice and the white diffusion panels work well. The lights that are included get extremely hot. One of the lamps quit responding to the switch and has to be unplugged. Shortly afterward when using the lights again, the light melted its housing rendering it inoperable. I can't speak for the tripod since I always use a full-size tripod. It seems acceptable for point-and-shoot camera work. If I were to make the choice again, I would purchase a pop-up lightbox, instead.

The lights worked great, the white diffusers do a nice job of reducing glare on bright subjects. The tripod/camera mount it comes with is weak though. It just barely supports a D80+18-200 and bounces a lot - definitely use a timer or a remote, or get a better short tripod.
