I purchased 2 of these to build my automotive rig setup. I have 2 manfrotto 035R super clamp mounted on top of each suction cup.
Decent holding rate, my setup is about 5kgs, including pipe and camera and so far its no problem at all.
It holds well on car panel, glass, windscreen, roof etc. Need to watch out the condition of the surface tho, may leave long term mark on fresh paint.
