The Nikon SB 900 does not fit comfortably on the cold shoe of the 175f. I think it's going to break the housing when I try to "jam" the flash on to it.

A wonderful product which is very useful for remote flash usage,can be used for indoor or outdoor remote operation. Someone really came up with a good idea when they desighned this product you will find all kinds of ways of putting this product to use with your flash units.

This is an exceptionally strong and durable flash mount clamp. Yes, it's expensive, but you'll find so many uses for it, that its quality and practicality outweigh its cost.

I love this clamp, it is a well made piece and well thought out - and STRONG.
I don't recommend using it for this but I recently mounted a large dSLR and zoom lens on a pistol grip ball-head secured ONLY by the Bogen 175F clamp, and it HELD.
Since buying this, I've bought $3 clamps at the home improvement store and bolted 1/4 tripod bolts to them and use them to mount my off-camera flashes. Those work great as a DIY cheap solution, but the Justin clamp is more professional polished solution and the price reflects that.

You must have these if you shoot with small strobes over 50% of the time. Easily clamps to surfaces, tree limbs, or the middle of a light-stand.

I have used many a clamp in my career but never has one been so versatile and easy to use. If you are like me and only shoot small strobes. Then you must buy these. Every strobe I have is paired with one of these clamps. Freedom!

Planning on getting several more! I've tried a few other clamps - none were as strong or as multi-functional as this. I never leave home without it now. I use this with my Canon 580 EX II for 2nd, 3rd flash for portraits - Great for weddings!

This is one the best things I have ever purchased! I take these clamps everywhere I go, weddings, sports, outdoors, I mean everywhere. Very solid build, very handy, compact, yet very very strong! These quickly clamp onto almost anything to mount a light with or without an umbrella. I use these with my Nikon SB-800 speedlights, for adding a 2nd, 3rd or 4th light for shots. A must have!

I love these flash shoe clamps and would it love even more if I could find a source to buy a handful of the flash shoe mount that threads into the mini ballhead. This clamp is wonderfully helpful for a variety of editorial photo assignments and allows me to do fast but competent remote lighting set ups using an off-camera flash and commander unit or radio slave. I find I can easily clamp a strobe to the edge of chairs, tables, counters, shelves, filing cabinets, rails, etc. and carry one or two of these with me at all times. When in doubt or traveling ultra light, I'll often grab one of these clamps rather a compact light stand.
