Comments about Smith-Victor Smith Victor K33 3 700SG Quartz Light, 1800-Watt Barndoor Location Kit with 650 Attache Carrying Case.:

I brought this light kit because it looked ok in the photo's. I needed something quick to hold me down until I got something better. The barn doors on the light attach with a cheaply made spring hook type device that tends to pop off when it feels like it. So imagine having a 500 watt light on for 20 min or more then that piping hot barn door decides to fall off and burns some one or something. There is no fuse on the kit. As most of use know halogen bulbs can pop for any number of reasons. so they did prove safety glass that firmly attaches to the housing of the light. However, you cannot use the safety glass and the barn doors at the same time so you have to choose between safety or lighting effect. Finally the light it self looks and feels like a common desk lamp with a over powered bulb. You cannot adjust the light after it has been turned on because there is no place to grab the light to adjust it unless your a real man or a real woman and grabbing items 400+ degrees is something that is common to you. Bottom line its an over priced desk lamp and smith vector should have been embarrassed to even put their name on a device that should be recalled save your money and your time. Oh and recommend this to people you don't really like especially those that owe you money.
