puts out a ton of light, especially if you get 500 watt bulbs. Only big con is bulbs burn out real fast

Get nice portraits perfomed indoors, using one or both lights at time. Umbrellas are a bit flimsy, but ok.
Be carefull, after a while these lamps get hot. ;D

I bought this product as a starter kit. It had no instructions, and too many parts to figure out on my own. I exchanged it (plus $7.00) for the Photo basics version. Wow, what a difference. It was way better made, and easy to assemble. Don't waste your money.

I was shooting individual and team photos of hockey teams and the lighting in the rink was horrible! I bought these and they did just the trick. I needed something lightweight and portable, easy to setup, because I had little time to get out and arrange lighting on the ice. These were so easy to use. The bulb on one of the lights did blow pretty quickly but other than that these were a perfect inexpensive way to get better picture. Watch the white balance though.

Set comes with no instructions and my set came with a defective clamp. Whole lamp assembly fell over-- not sturdy.

The itself is really worth the money. The only problem is that the attachment of the light itslef to the stand is not secure. You can tighten it has hard as you want but half way through your shot it may losen. It's not going to fall off the stand of anything. But it pretty riskey forr being as high as it is.

These studio lights create a great, flexible work area to shoot catalog pictures. They will also save lots of time by reducing the amount of color correcting needed when photos are taken with flourescent overhead lighting.

This is a great starter lighting kit for indoor video filming. I use it for green screen backdrop fliming. It's bright and the umbrellas give off a natural bright light. I highly recommend this as a starter kit.

Just put together a Photography Studio in a room above my garage and used the new lighting to do portraits of family and friends. With little effort and proper placement of the subject kit items I produced some great portraits. I would recommend the kit to all beginning photographers.
