Comments about Smith-Victor Smith Victor SoftLight 600-Watt DYH 3200K Lamp Included:
I was hoping for a diffused light which it did provide. The switch burned out in the first few months. SV was good about providing a replacement. In the 2nd year the ceramic socket for the bulb exploded. There is no way to replace that part without removing all the rivets and disassembling the entire fixture. Not worth the trouble - even at [$]. Would never purchase this item again.

The blub blew out within 45 days of use. As you dimed the light it went from bright white light to a reddish light. No good for a fill in light at less than full power. Also at full power the light blinds the subject so this is not good for portraits.
This was not a good business perchase for me. Tax wright off...
