Comments about ExpoImaging ExpoImaging Ray Flash, Ring Flash Adapter for Nikon SB800 Flash on Nikon D300/D200/D70/D80/D50 & D40 DSLR Cameras:

I originally purchased for used with a D700 and SB800, but it also works well with the SB600 and other flash units by using the tabs provided.
The only issue is that I had to remove all the velcro tabs on the flash head used for the Lumiquest bounce kits.. I wish this unit was articulated or a two piece so it will fit better inside a camera case or backpack.

This is a cheap plastic device that falls off my SB800 if I move the camera too suddenly. On the other hand, it works. You lose light, but it's also useful as a fill light that doesn't throw a sharp shadow under the chin. So if you're a Strobist style photographer who's willing to sacrifice robustness for the flexibility and portability of speedlights, you ought to check it out. I'm keeping mine.

Works great! I set the flash exp. to +2 instead of +1. Manual Zoom at 50mm.

Product was intented to be used with Macro photography. I like the weight of it, virtually no weight at all. The design is clever, but when you compare the actual product against the cost [$], it's quite flimsy. I will be returning mine to purchase a nikon light system instead.
