This frees one hand and allows me to use the flash off-camera in many positions.This is much
better for macro than a regular flash bracket.
It is somewhat heavy,but stays put-German engineerihg!
I fire the flash on my Nikon by using the pop-up as the commander. A sync-cord would also serve.
