If you can't bounce the flash, the diffuser will take a lot of the harshness out of the shot..works for bounce also. My big complaint is I have to play with it to attach it. once attached it stays.

The love the soft light it gives, great, compacted easy to use diffuser.
But it does not fit very tightly on the flash, it can be knocked off very easily.

Haven't really had a chance to use yet for night photography.. tried it out for day but wasn't impressed so waiting to see how it works with the night photography and portraits.. well wait and see!

This is a great for taking pictures inside. It creates the same effect as bouncing the flash in situations where you can't (such as really high ceilings). Makes the light from the flash much softer and more natural looking. A must have for anyone who shoots flash.
