this item is priced right and may work out doors, not bright enough, no inside treads to add micro lens, if you don't have micro built in to your camera. You will not be happy

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint VL-48, 48-LED Macro Ring Light with Adapter for 49mm - 62mm Diameter Lenses:
This is a well-designed device for close shots, it provides permanent lighting for subjects. And you can adjust it three ways: all light, half left light, and half right light. With the power controller, you can choose two different power input modes: 2 AA batteries
(I recommend that you use rechargeable batteries)
or AC adapter input.
Very useful for macro photographing.
My set came with a Adapter for 67mm lens to :-)

this is great if all you need is constant light for your macro shots. it's not a flash it is a LED light. so that means no sync cables ;)

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint VL-48, 48-LED Macro Ring Light with Adapter for 49mm - 62mm Diameter Lenses:
Not very bright. I bought this for macro photography and its barely adequate for some uses. Not useful at all for fill in light and its not bright at all, so its not a big aid in macrophotography.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint VL-48, 48-LED Macro Ring Light with Adapter for 49mm - 62mm Diameter Lenses:
The quality of this item is not expected to be too high given the price ([$]). However, one would expect it to at least work. This item's hot shoe attachment is missing the connections that sync it to the camera. In short, I hope this is a fluke but this IS the first time I have used this manufacturer. At this point I would assume that Flashpoint is another junky, cheap brand just trying to meet a consumer price bracket and plan on spending a little more like I should have in the first place.
