This is a fantastic product that gives an even lighting as it spreads the light around quite nicely. The only cons that I can think of is it's price tag, there are other great products around such as the omnibounce or the lumiquest mini softbox or 80-20

Bounce flash is definitely better when circumstances allow. The problem with this thing is that its output and effective color temperature vary tremendously depending upon your exact surroundings. Nevertheless, if ceilings are too high, or are a crazy color, this is certainly better than direct flash.

simplifies flash settings, i seldom worry about it. i just focus more on my shots and let the diffuser work wonders. i cant explain it but it works great. i cant complain, except for it being bulky.

A great product you can use in lieu of a flash bracket. I have semi-retired my flash bracket now since I am using Gary Fong's lightsphere. It is so much easier to use than a rotating flash bracket. It gives off an even solf fill light during the day and a nice soft flash with no shadows when bounced off a wall or ceiling during portrait shooting.

I really Don't see any improvement in photo quality over just using my Regular SB 600 Flash. It is very Heavy and if using 60* or 45* angle Flash has tendency to drop down to 90*

It works - It works well. The thing is huge - it's the only downside but it's limited to practicality - not a functional limitation. When is use, it does what I bought it to do and it does it very well.

I just don't like having a tupperware bowl on my flash unit ;)

The Lightshpere works as describe. It was easy to use, gave me good lighting, and softened the light without any washout, over /under exposures. Needless to say, it does havfe limited range and is very dependance on the quality of your flash. I used a Nikon SB-600 and it work extremly well.

When shooting close, it gives a softer light than straight flash. For more distant shots, it helps to have light colored walls and ceilings to help bounce the light. At receptions, in large halls, I really prefer to use straight flash for any shots at 15 feet or more. Setting a higher ISO helps a bit. As Gary's video shows, it works much better than straight flash for portraits within a distance of 5-15 feet.

It is a handy gadget to have in your camera bag, but I think it is too expensive. There are several do it yourself items similar to this on the internet which performs just as well. It does appear more professional than those DIY items.

This is a very convenient on-flash diffuser. The internal inverted dome gives it great flexibility in use...especially when you tilt the camera into portrait. No need for a stroboframe. Goes on and comes off very fast.

Good addition for a speedlight, speads light out nicely. Very convienent, lights nicely. I use this and the cloud quite often. Gonna add another soon.

Over all the product work as described.
It does not stay on when flash is tilted in the normal position. You have to tape it to the flash and that could be very annoying since you can't just take it off if you need to in a hurry.

Never liked to use flash in the past because of the hard shadows. This flash diffusor works for me. It takes a lot of space in my bag but I am sure I would miss it if flash lighting is required and I had left it at home.

Great Scots I think I found it!
I have the cloud and I must say I prefer the clear. Images were brighter and had more pop!
This is the best for indoor use. I would go with the cloud for outdoor use especially if shooting in the sun at a white wedding dress!!
I have all three Gary Fong diffusers (whale tail, cloud, clear) and this one might be my favorite!

I need a flash for macro photography of insects, but I only need enough flash to show bady parts without over lighting the bugs. This product works great for that. It clearly shows the insect and makes plant foliage look nice and green. It really cuts down on the shine on the leaves.

Well, it's big, but it does work. Stays on my Nikon SB600, but will get knocked off if bumped. This is a good thing, as you do not want your flash or hot shoe taken off instead. Reduces your flash distance in half. This is expected. Anything outdoors in the daylight at more than 20 feet, would not be effective. Also, works best with APS SLR sensor sizes at higher ISOs. The better the light sensitivity of the camera, the better...
