Comments about Interfit Photographic Interfit Photographic 8.25' Combi Boom Lightstand, with a Built in 5' Boom, Black.:
I bought this stand to hang an Interfit EXD200 head with a snoot, to be used for hair-lighting, and almost fell over. It needs some sort of counter-weight, but even so, it's not as sturdy as I needed. A better choice is Adorama's LSB1720 light stand with boom arm and counter-weight bag. It's a sturdier stand, extends higher and farther, and it includes a counter-weight bag that can be filled with sand or other ballast to off-set the flash head. It costs more than the Interfit stand, but I think it's worth it.

Bought this stand to support a Stellar 200EX for use as a hair light. Maybe its me but the stand works vertical but not with the boom arm extended. Maybe there's a sand bag kit/counter weight attachment that I'm missing. This is the only Interfit product that I've been disappointed with.

Comments about Interfit Photographic Interfit Photographic 8.25' Combi Boom Lightstand, with a Built in 5' Boom, Black.:
This is a pretty decent stand for the money, but the handle for the boom angle lock-down broke very quickly. Unless you counter-balance perfectly, the boom handle needs to be TIGHT. The plastic handle is one that lets you pull it out and rotate freely for a better angle. The parts of the handle are plastic and aren't up to the task of clamping down that boom when it's way out there. The stand still works well, but I have to use vise-grips to turn the boom lock.
