I needed to create a more compact setup for product photography involving small items less than 12 inches in size. Regular light stands are too large and the feet make it difficult to position them where needed. These Smith Victor stands have a small base and easily fit close to my light tent and the height is perfect. They easily support the weight of my strobes and work great with the Giotto MH1004 mini ball heads.
