Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II Replacement Flashtube for the 1220 and 1820 Monolights. WithCeramic Base.:

I use my strobes primarily for architectural interiors. I need firepower more than sophistication and these provide the most bang for the buck. I purchased two 1820's last year and one has performed flawlessly while the other has been disappointing. The flashtube output did not last very long before it began to give me inconsistent results. The recycle times got longer and longer while the light output decreased inconsistently until it was no longer usable. Also the built in slave became irregular in its sensitivity. [...] I'm hoping replacing the flashtube resolves some of the problems. In the future I'll probably think twice before ordering from Adorama.
