Not consistent, I am on my 2nd one of these triggers, it works ok, but not everytime, I have gone back to using my canon Speedlite as a trigger, it just is more consistent

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint Infra Red Remote Trigger for the Monolights:
I needed an inexpensive way to trigger the inexpensive slave flash units I bought from Adoroama, and this unit certainly looked like it fit the bill. At at under $30, I figured I'd be happy if it lasted a year.
I unwrapped the flash, and gave the instructions a cursory once over. Other than being written in entertaining Engrish, it's not of much use- insert batteries, turn switch to on, wait until ready light goes on.
I tested it, and it works just fine, but I do have two concerns:
1. The battery cover popped off as I was inserting the two AAs. The "hinge" is two tiny bumps that I suspect aren't going to last very long, given the material. Plan on eventually holding the door on with a piece of gaffer's tape.
2. The mounting bracket is pretty flimsy, too. Treat this gently, or you'll be using the including PC cord and a hot shoe adapter, and of course more gaffer's tape to hold it all together.
Even with these flaws, it's hard to fault it at the asking price. You could modify a cheap old flash with an IR filter, or a deep red filter, and you'd probably end up spending almost as much. It's a useful gadget, a a decent value- if you treat it gently.

I purchased this trigger for use with my two Flashpoint 320A's in hopes that it would free me up from being wired. At first I thought I may have wasted [$]I shoot with a Sony A300 and Sony decided that when they took over Minolta they would stick with the unique hotshoe for some reason !Well.... after stacking 3 adaptors onto my off camera folding flash bracket,I'm happy to say it works like a champ ! Just beware that if you too shoot with a Sony/Minolta you'll be needing a few extras in order to use this gem ! But its definitely worth it to be able to move about freely !

Worked perfect the first time I tried it and I'm counting on it lasting a very long time. It keeps me from being wired to the Slave Flashes. Now I can move around unteathered and get the shot that I need. Great Value for a Great Slave.

As inexpensive as this trigger is, I didn't expect much. While it doesn't appear to be very strongly built, it has worked very reliably for me so far.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint Infra Red Remote Trigger for the Monolights:
I bought this trigger to use with the AC Slave flashes for home portraits.
It always fires the flashes, and works from a long distance.
This unit keeps me from having to use my speedlite to trigger the remote flashes.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint Infra Red Remote Trigger for the Monolights:
I purchased one of these with a pair of flashpoint monolights. The lights have held up well. The trigger did not. Dropped one time, and only from about three feet, DEAD. However, the low price made getting a second one easier to swallow.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint Infra Red Remote Trigger for the Monolights:
Nice and simple so it will not impress your gear head, tech geek and camera snob friends. The good news is it works dependably in the studio setting, and indoor locations.
Just a simple, low power flash with a filter on it. The 2 AA batteries that power it last a long time in it.
