I have an SB-800 and a couple of SB-600 but my refurbished SB-400 is often what I carry around when we go to parks and parties. My other flashes are used on more demanding situations such as graduations, weddings and portraits. The SB-400 is small and light enough to be carried around for a whole day while attached to your camera. Not bad for a refurbished flash. I've been using it for a year and a half now. Thank you Adorama!

Great flash (as many have said), but my comments are mainly due to the refurbished state. I purchased this flash along with a refurbished DSLR (Nikon) to save some cash. One year later the flash is suddenly not working normal (basically overnight). I have confirmed this condition on several other cameras, so it's pointing to a defective unit. The flash does not seem to get up to full power (I have checked batteries and camera settings), and manual mode only provides full power output no matter what my setting is. I'm pretty careful with my equipment, but there seems to be a loose component inside (some type of rattle). This is a great product, as I just purchased a NEW SB-400, but I would think twice before refurbished equipment. I had some trouble with a refurbished battery charger as well, but it was replaced within the 90 days.
