I purchased the Di466 as a fourth flash to fire as a slave for wedding receptions, so I have 3 flashes on stands. What surprised me is that the Di466 will fire with the Canon 430EX acting as master. (The 430EX's on the other hand will only slave fire with a 580EX as master.) So if you want multiple flashes and don't want to spend another $450 for the 580EX II as a controller, grab a couple Di466's and a 430EX, or even the Di622. Also, I notice absolutely no difference in flash strength between the Canon 430EX II and the Nissin Di466. A minor drawback is that the flash head has limited rotation. But that's not a problem when it's on a stand. The pull-out reflecting card is also a bit too small. Overall, a great flash for the price.

Tested on Digital Rebel-XT, G7, G10. All worked fine w/ camera controlled flash exposure adjustments. Worked fine on Canon EOS-3 and EOS-1V Film Cameras. It even worked on Pentax K1000 in manual mode. No wireless e-TTL control. I got this for an add-on flash for a G-10 and it doesn't dissapoint. Smaller than regular flash, its a good size for the rangefinder-size G10. Generally, it works well and in e-TTL mode seems to recycle quickly. However @ Full-Flash in Manual mode recycle time starts to slow. Slave works, focus-assist and manual adjustments are good. One thing that is strange about this flash is when I hand-hold it tethered to a camera via e-TTL cord, the flash needs to be held in the upright vertical position to fire at designated flash exposure. If you hold flash upside down or less than 90º on its side, the flash becomes extremely weak - which is odd. However, generally, a good small inexpensive flash for canon cameras. I feel the construction will require some babying, but so far I like this flash. It's very versatile. Mr.Adai has pic on flickr -[@]
