I MADE A BRACKET, MOUNTED TO MY PENTAX K20D TO HOLD THE AF-540FGZ FLASH OUT OVER THE FRONT OF THE
LENS FOR CLOSE-UPS. THIS "GOOSENECK" WORKS!!! I AM
REAL HAPPY WITH IT, BECAUSE IT WORKS THE WAY IT SHOULD!!

I bought this to go with the Novoflex Flashgriff bracket and ball-head. I thought I might need it to get the flash in the right position, but to be honest the Flashgriff is so flexible on it's own I haven't really used this extension. I have a 430EX flash and 100mm macro lens with or without tubes, and with diffuser attached there's no need for this extension.
That being said, if you do need an extension for some other reason, this one is strong and quality. It will support the flash firmly without movement. Not as floppy as delta bracket arms.
