Comments about Sunpak Sunpak RD2000N Ultra-Compact Digital Bounce, Shoe Mount Flash for Nikon i-TTL Camera, Guide Number 65 ft.:

The build of this flash is good, and it works well. I mainly use it in the house or small business offices for when a SB 600 or bigger isn't needed. I picked this as my replacement t the SB400 when I lost mine. To me, it performs the same and I would recomend it over the SB400.

Great for snapshooting. Expands coverage, can bounce and diffuses well for wide angle coverage. Recycling is reasonably fast with lithium batteries.

I bought it for my Nikon P6000 compact and it's great for that. It's small but reasonably powerful and not too big for a compact like the P6000 or Canon G series. It also can be used for bounce flash. I also use it with my Nikon D90 and D60 when I don't want to bring a big flash.

This little flash is great and it's the same as Quantaray for a lot less money. It's not a high end flash but it's way better than a built in flash. It does a great job in the under 25' range.

I was reluctant to purchase the Sunpak RD2000 over the highly rated Nikon SB400 for my D60. The price swayed me, though. Spending money on something that does not work is throwing money away. If nothing else, this could be an expensive manual backup.

I have been very pleasantly surprised by this flash unit. It works well with the iTTL. It is easy to use. It has a relatively fast recycle time. But most importantly, the results to in my pictures are great, a big improvement over the built-in flash! The money saved can be applied to other more expensive goodies ( such as a lens ).

I cannot yet attest for the unit's durability, since I've had this only a short time. But at this point, I am happy with the flash and would recommend it to others.
