Comments about Pentax Pentax TR Power Pack III for the AF-540FGZ:
The TR Power Pack III does a great job at its intended purpose -- providing fast recycle time, maximum flash power and extended battery life. However, its problems (which lowered my review from 5 to 3) all stem from one thing: the connecting cord. First, the cord is short. I knew this from other reviews, but didn't realize how short it was. To give a visual: when connected to the flash and camera is raised to eye level the cord won't allow the battery pack to be lowered below mid-chest (I'm 5'8"). Second, the connection on the battery pack end has a tendency to come loose during strenuous shooting conditions (think action-packed wedding reception). On at least two occasions during my most recent wedding shoot I had delays or missed shots because the flash wasn't getting power. I've since learned to feel for the connector and re-seat it repeatedly during use. Overall I am very glad I purchased the battery pack, but want a solution to the poor cable issue.

This is just what I needed to do weddings. Now, I can shoot many, many flash photos without the worry of having to constantly change batteries.
I have wanted this for some time now. I am so glad I finally got it.
