Comments about Samigon Samigon FRL-1 Halo-Light, Fluorescent Ring Light with Translucent Snoot:
First off, I am not a pro, so take this as my way of trying to let other hobbyists know about this product. I bought it to use with a macro lens to provide fill lighting. It does this quite well for my uses, though you do want to play with positioning a little due to lamp not going a full 360 degrees. It doesn't go through batteries nearly as quickly as I assumed it would, though I can't give you hard and fast numbers on a battery change as I wasn't timing it. One charge on 2600 ma rechargeables lasted through two sessions, two days apart, totaling about 40 pictures (~20 per session) without an issue. How far past that they will go, I couldn't say.
As I said, this is good for fill work. You won't want to try to use it to illuminate a dark object or the like. For the $$$, it is definitely a useful product to me. As always, YMMV...
