I have used paper, and it works the same. I like that I can just clean it and keep going. It's a little heavy so if you only have one backdrop stand it's a bit of a task. I have two stands so I just leave this up fuultime and put the muslin drops in front of it on my second stand.

I chose the vinyl over seamless paper with the hope that it would last me basically forever and not have to continue to buy rolls of paper throughout the years.
I have done several portrait sessions on the vinyl. As long as you know how to light it properly you'll have a clean bright white background on your portraits. Great for COB's or product photos too.
It does clean up well, as I did have a naked newborn session mess on it - as I also planned for this to happen knowing the vinyl would be easy to clean off and it did GREAT!
The only thing I wasn't too happy with was the original tape to hold the roll together while being shipped actually left some yellow sort of stains on the vinyl. But it's just me being picky b/c you'll never see the very end in portraits anyways.
Love this product, would HIGHLY recommend it. It is VERY heavy though, you may need help getting it up on your backdrop stand!!

Very clean white backdrop that is very easy to clean and photographs well. Not too much to say other than that; it is a simple product that performs perfectly!
