I'm using this with two of the FLEX units: one on a 580 EX II and one on a 420 EX. The systeem works great, but I definitely need to practice with the ratios and overall setup of the PocketWizards. But in general they worked well for my first shoot with them. I would just like to improve my knowledge so I can be more creative and drive the flashes the way I want instead of full automatic mode.

I have had a set of these for a while with no problems as long as you use canon flashes. It was hit or miss with the Sigma flash, but with the Canon flashes it hits at least 90% of the time. I also use it on studio setup with no problems there either. The construction is SUPERIOR. I have dropped them on concrete and they keep working. They can be a little quirky when using multiple flashes in getting them to sync, you may have to try several times before they are good.

Comments about Pocket Wizard Pocket Wizard MiniTT1 Transmitter for Canon DSLR Cameras & Flash Units, with a Range of up to 1200 ft:
The Pocket Wizard Mini TT1 and Flex TT5 provide very reliable and accurate remote TTL control of multiple flash heads, but you need to be very careful to turn on ALL the PW units first, WAIT A BIT, and THEN turn on the camera and flash - or they just will not work or work correctly. Be patient and do test shots - the things can be persuaded to work very repeatably, but there is a learning curve. The system allows Canon flash users to fire their Speedlights on manual with old (as well as new) Pocket Wizard systems just as Nikon flash users have been able to do forever - finally ! But be careful of what you are expecting - off camera flash is great, but with little speedlights it can result in very harsh or oddly oriented shadows that may not be what you want if you get the flash too far away from the camera or don't use bounce or some other trick. A disappointment - I have not been able to successfully and reliably use the high speed sync features that the instructions claim are possible - most of the time my Canon 1Ds Mark III or 5D Mk II just will not cooperate with the Pocket Wizard.

Works as indicated. I'll never go back to wires. I haven't gotten creative yet but I am having much more success with lighting. I have a Canon 5D Mark II with 580exII flash. with the standard cable it couldn't take use of ETTL. I have that with the Pocket Wizard now.

works great. Scary is the plastic hotshoe mount. Check the youtube reviews also against radiopoppers

The t1 mini gives you wireless control of off camera strobes. You are no longer contrained be distance or things like line of sight. Powerful RF can talk to your unit around corners. Highly recommend with your Canon or Nikon strobe commitment.[@]
