Comments about Sunpak Sunpak TR-2000 Power Pack Kit with Nicad Battery & Charger & Canon Flash HV Cord:

I initially purchased the Sunpak TR-2000 over other models solely for financial reasons. I was on assignment, my Quantum was badly damaged and I had to use cash on hand to purchase another power pack quick...enter the TR-2000. Much to my delight, it has more than payed for itself! So much so that I have continued using it as my main power pack and have no reason to go back any other higher priced brands. While it doesn't pack as many flashes as the Quantum (270 vs. 400), the recycle time is almost identical (1.5 vs. 1.4) and a spare battery is super cheap. It does takes longer than the Quantum to charge the battery once it's run down, which for me wasn't an issue, and it doesn't have a much needed slide over the power switch to prevent accidently switching it off. Aside from that, I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a rugged and reliable performer in their camera bag!
