This softbox is well built and super easy to assemble, didn't even reference the included instructions. Paired this softbox up with the Flashpoint II speedring and both work fine with each other.

Though photoflex may be more expensive than other brands, the build quality is well worth the cost. This is an excellent build. I am not happy with how the poles insert into the softbox connector. The tolerances are very close, which makes it difficult when taking apart. Putting together is a breeze, but you'll have to fuss with it to break it down. I purchased this wondering if I would also want the large softbox or the 5 foot octodome. I would like to get the octodome for the additional options it comes with and size. Still, for the immediate purpose, I am using two of these for school portraits, and they work well. The size is not too big, and the light diffusion in close quarters with baffel and diffuser is fine. Others comment on them being almost too big. I do not feel that is the case. If anything, I almost wish I had purchased one medium and one large.

This is a very well built soft box. I have been waiting/wanting to purchase this item for a LONG time and finally bit the bullet. I purchased it with the Photoflex speed ring and I must admit that I was VERY pleased with the purchase. I was concerned about the size being to small but I think the medium size will end up being the work horse size with the other sizes filling in for specific requirements.
The lighting is just beautiful coming out of this soft box and I generally use it will both diffusion panels. I really like how you can control the light from a soft box and minimize/eliminate all spill. The medium size if VERY management and it is VERY light weight - (not in quality).
The quick release tabs at the corners of the soft box make tearing it down very easy and the setup and tear down are pretty quick.
I would highly recommend this product and immediate after purchasing this unit I purchased two large soft boxes and I am equally pleased... However - the large is pretty darn large.
