I was not surprised this was built very well and I am not at all sorry I spent extra. I have found it useful for more than reflectors. Photoflex is very dependable for quality.

I have used this product on location as a hair light boom with shoe flash, as a hand held extension for reflectors used by my assistant and on a stand when no assistance was available all with ease. The product I understand at one time may have had some issues but it is now from what I understand the only unit of its kind that is all metal and allows attachment of other items such as Plexiglas on the market. Good tools are are something you always value because you rely on them a lot. This is one of those tools! Kudos to Photoflex for a product that delivers on its promise!

I like that this disc holder is fully adjustable. I've used it in studio a couple of times now and everything is held securely. It's easy to adjust and work with. It's like having an extra set of arms. With my 48 in disc, you must have some weights to hold the stand in place, as the reflector is heavy. Well built.

One of the few holders I could find that allow positioning of the both reflector clips. This allows more flexible placement of the reflector in relationship to the stand. Others I have only allow positioning of the extended clip, which positions the reflector up against the stand. The boom allows for counterweighting, unlike many of the others. My only issue are the clips, which are somewhat maleable and I need to bend them back into shape sometimes - not a huge issue.

one of the plastic spring loaded handles broke the first time i used it.
It's a litle annoying to use because of all the moving parts. It's cumbersome to position properly
