If you don't want to fool around with a bunch of additional speedlites or strobes, this makes an excellent fill. The intensity can easily be controlled by distance, angle etc, giving you great control over lighting ratios and ensuring good shadow detail, or by using the other surfaces included balancing the color temperature to give you that nice lighting for almost any subject.

Love this product! Took some model shots of my SIL and having this really made the light pop in the photos. All you do is find the light with it and aim to your subject. (Think 2, 4, 8, and 10 angles.) So glad I purchased it! Can't wait to use it over and over.

Great to have when natural light isn't quite enough and need a little reflection to fill in some shadows. The flexibility of having reflecting white, gold, and silver, as well as shoot-through features, are excellent reasons to consider this product at the price point. The black side also works okay as a background for single head shots. Catching it on sale makes it even better!

I'm using this for Video Talking-Headshots in thee field. It's perfect regardless of the light mix. I'm amazed at how handy and simple it is. Knowing it "lives" in my field kit is fantastic.

As a landscape photographer I am occasionally doing closeups and Macros that need angled or diffused light and this folds small and easily carried for those times.

These is excelent for portraits whit the sun as a back light. Also to reflect your main flash if you have just one flash head.

Use for fill light. Well made. Large, just the right size, but folds up to a small size. Only negative thing is "photo basics" text on cover. No one wants to use basic eqiupment.

I'm not sure why someone would rate this reflector low because "it's too big" since in the 21st century I would hope that people have figured out the concept of measuring length and it's not the fault of the reflector if they don't understand that 40 is bigger than 32, but truth be told, this is a nice large reflector and I am glad for it.

If you do portraits, you want to make sure you cover the shadows and with a smaller one it's a little harder to aim. I also like that the translucent part of this is big enough to cover a whole person without standing too close to them. Also the large size lets you use this as a background for a headshot or closeup.

The zipper IS kind of weird but pretty much all 5-in-1 reflectors are a little fussy when it comes to sliding the different reflectors in and this is not something you can do when you're in a hurry. you need a place to lay down the reflector and slide in the middle part and close the zipper. If this is a problem for you, it might be better to buy dedicated reflectors or a 2-in-1 type thing, but overall if you're on a budget, this product works well if you are patient.

I've used this reflector kit indoors and out, it's been a great product. Can also be used as a backdrop for headshots & small items. Having all 5 colors in one convenient kit is really nice. If you don't have an assistant to hold the reflector, you'll also want to get the stand. I haven't had any problems with this product.

The only problem is that the diffuser provides support (from the inside) for the reflectors. If you are using the diffuser, you cannot use the reflector as well. It's either one or the other.

Loved that it has various (see 5-in-1) uses, so it is an extremely versatile product. It definitely holds up well, and has been beneficial to add to my photography equipment. Images come out clear and distributes light well.

This is a pretty functional piece of equipment that performs just as advertised. I didn't notice that it didn't come with the stand when I ordered it, so be aware of the "Reflector Only" small print. Still, it's a pretty good product so far for the price.
