We use these mounts for a wide range of munting applications, all of which this unit excels at.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
Heavy duty, I love it.
I trust this baby big time it takes care of my strobes.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
This umbrella/light mount is probably overkill for me. Basically it is all metal contruction. So if you are very demanding of your gear and use is constantly on a daily basis then this is a great option.
Heavy duty. I would think it will last a few lifetimes.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
Have been using several of these with a custom strobe studio setup! They work great!
Even use them to support a camera with an arca quick release plate for photobooths from time to time. Never a problem!
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
The item is made from metal -- strong, solid metal. It is strong and amazingly built. Highly recommended.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
This is a solid piece of grip. It both holds the umbrella shaft and changes angle firmly with no play or movement. Don't risk your expensive flash unit on a plastic adaptor. Pay the difference.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
This is the second one I bought. I have not been disappointed when I spent a few $$ more for a superior tool. Same applies here.

Came with the Lastolite 24 inch Ezybox kit. Fantastic quality. Highly recommended.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
They should have added a flash shoe adapter.
This is just a way for Bogen-Manfrotto to bleed you dry of money.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
Works great. I like the way it maintains the relationship between flash and umbrella over all adjustments. Just a little tricky to put together.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
Better value than cheaper adapters
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
No instructions for how to use, so be careful setting up. You will be able to tell from angle of umbrella and top attachement if you have it backwards or not.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
Once you use one of these, you can't use anything else. It holds the flash and umbrella very securely, keeping them together well when you tilt. Construction and design are superb. Another plus is that they can eliminate the need for dedicated light stands. Shooting portraits on location? Your tripod can be a light stand(and it's a safer setup IMO than cold shoes). I now carry one fewer light stand. And there's nothing wrong with that.
This is a rare bargain in the increasingly expensive world of photography.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
This is an awesome little thing. Once you figure out how to mount the it (which can be an interesting task, especially without a manual), it stays where you want it, no matter how you abuse it. It just works, period.
It's a bit heavy, though. Guess that's what you pay for quality.
As others have pointed out, it's very greasy when you get it, so I recommend disassembling and cleaning it. But that's really not a problem.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter is an excellent value.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
I paired this product with a Lastolite Softbox for battery operated flashes. When paired, the device can tilt the head of the softbox for more appealing results.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
Sturdy and well constructed.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
It is a flash / umbrella adapter... But the thing about this one is that it HOLDS. It works. Every time. It is a tank, yet no larger than most others. You can depend on it not to slip or mess up in any way. It is heavy because it is solid and I like it that way. I carry two of them everywhere; this has the added dividend of providing my only exercise. You will not wish you had bought something else.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
Any photographer with off camera flash in their bag of tricks has (or should have) several of these. Mounts to most light stands, Bogen Magic arms, super clamps, etc to hold your flash (speedlight) and securely mount an umbrella. Angle adjustments allow for extreme versatility to get your light where you need it.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
This thing is solid. All metal construction and clearly built to last. It does come with a small blob of grease on each screw so unscrew all the knobs when you get it and wipe off the extra grease before you use it with your equipment.
Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
Nice and Solid!!! That's the bottom line here. I've bought a cheaper one... And it was a waste of money. This is a fine piece of equipment and well worth the extra few bucks over the flimsy ones.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
This adapter is a GAZILLION times better than the Photoflex umbrella adapter.
I'm finding that there is no substitute for Bogen/Manfrotto equipment. Pay a little bit more upfront and never worry about it again.
I like the way the flash mounts solidly in this unit...I found that the Stroboframe cold shoe is a good compliment to go with this item.

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
Much better than the lastolite tilt swivel head (-10 stars). This product is solid and very well built. I use the really right stuff cold shoe with it to attach the FL-50Rs

Comments about Bogen Imaging Bogen - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-tite) (#2905):
I bought this and a cold shoe to connect my Nikon SB 800 and umbrella to a light stand. The direct flash from the SB 800 acts too much like a flash light and I wanted more diffuse, natural looking light for shooting portraits. My quick test turned out pretty good and this thing is solid. My only gripe was that it shipped with too much grease on the threaded screws. Grease and camera equipment don't go well together.
