good addition to my on location kit. Keeps a strobe and transceiver together, in one place, so neither is hanging around. We use them regularly for our off camera fill flashes when space and a clean pro look is important.
Just don't drop it with the strobe attached. This unit will hold up, but the plastic mount on the strobe won't.

Used a few times for location photography. A few months after purchasing found it broken in the bag. The set screw in one the shoe mounts broke off. This is reported in another review here so most likely it is a flaw in the design. Be aware, treat it cautiously.

Sub-par. Broke within months.

I do mostly on location photography and travel a lot. Within a couple of trip this piece was falling apart (literally). The little bolt on the side of the hot shoe holder snaped off. The metal lead to keep one of the pieces on track became lose and before a headshot photoshoot just fell off.
The material is quite weak and bends even with a 16"x22"x13" softbox.
If you do get this make sure you take extra good care of it. Put it in a safety box if you travel.

This product helps to get that flash off your camera. You get better directional light, and improves your creativity. Add a small softbox and your in lighting heaven

I liked the idea of using my camera Flash 580II with a soft box. I've even attached it to a 24"x24" softbox and worked well, I prefer if its a little bit thicker. Also over priced.

metal somewhat flimsy for my canon 550EX. Was not able to position it as smoothly as i would have liked.
