Comments about Westcott Westcott Apollo 28" Light Modifier with Recessed Front:

I have just started using this product connected to the Lastolite tri flash connector for doing portraits. Today, in fact, I used it when doing some high key photos. Worked great with my 3 Canon Speedlites. I purchased it due to lots of recommendations (Syl Arena, Joe McNally)including its being pictured in most of the reference books I am using in my efforts to improve my skill.

Works very well! Only problem is the unit is delicate. We will see how long it lasts.
We need a heavy-duty model of this.

I wanted a Soft Box for my home studio to use with my SB800's. I was concerned that the TTL may not work when enclosed but it works great.
I have had very nice results.

This softbox sets up quick and attaches to a lightstand just like an umbrella.
I shoot my Nikon SB-24's wirelessly in this with terrific results.

Comments about Westcott Westcott Apollo 28" Light Modifier with Recessed Front:

Easy to use, and the perfect size for around the house and small studio. The softbox is actually built onto an umbrella frame, so it collapses and expands easily. Also it attaches to your lightstand exactly like an umbrella does, so no extra hardware is required if you already have an umbrella. The flash goes inside the box, and is best used bounced off the back of the box (which is silver lined). The only downside I can think of is that to turn your flash off or on and to adjust the flash power, you have to reach up inside the box to access the flash, as opposed to other designs where the flash is outside the box. But on the plus side, the setup is well balanced because the softbox is not hanging on the front of the flash.

Quality of light is outstanding. I love the diffusion, and it's much more directional and easier to control than working with umbrellas.

If you have to travel light, this works great with a small, powerful speedlight, and softens the light as good as "standard" softboxes of the same size.

Comments about Westcott Westcott Apollo 28" Light Modifier with Recessed Front:

I've had an Apollo for nearly twenty years, and recently noticed it had begun to lose some of the reflective material. I had to buy another -- they're so easy to use! No speedring to fuss with and my SB-26 is more than enough for quick, tight headshots. I bring three 26's, collapsable stands, with one Apollo and I've got a great, quick portrait set up.

Comments about Westcott Westcott Apollo 28" Light Modifier with Recessed Front:

Product produces beautiful light and is extremely portable as it goes up just like an umbrella. Being that it's used for a hotshoe flash, the light stand is in the middle of the bottom of the box which prohibits being able to point it down at an extreme angle.
